REFRESHER COURSE SERIES – PHARMACIST CARE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF DIABETES MELLITUS – 15th – 16th Apr 2006

The impending implementation of the compulsory CPD has set many pharmacists asking where they can get access to courses and materials to fulfill the CPD requirements.

Pharmacists are rest assured that the MPS is working on this issue. Among other measures taken including 1. the use of IT and 2. a Refresher Course series held throughout the year and in different location at different is being explored. The courses offered can be whole day session or half a day in module form to provide flexibility of attendance. Topics will posted on MPS website so that pharmacists can also plan ahead to attend them. This will be organized by the MPS CPD Committee in collaboration with the Academy of Pharmacy, and the Pharmaceutical Industry.

This first in the series will be launched at the coming MPS AGM Seminar and a very popular topic proposed to start with is “Pharmacist Care in the Management of Diabetes Mellitus”. The success of this CPD effort will depend on the response.

Do sign up early. For the first 100 to sign up, a free book “Medicines Compendium 2002” will be given away. You can collect it at the seminar venue only – there will be no delivery before or after the seminar.
