APLF names new chair

The Australian Pharmacy Liaison Forum (APLF) is an independent coalition of representatives from ten peak national pharmacy organisations who work together on common issues of national importance to the pharmacy profession

and the public.

At a recent meeting of the APLF, National President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia Grant Kardachi (pictured right) was elected as the chair of the APLF for 2012.

“Mr Kardachi is a community pharmacist of long standing with a good grasp of

the politics and current issues facing the profession and who will give strong leadership to the Forum over the next 12 months,” the APLF said in a statement

today.

“Professor Nick Shaw is thanked for the work he has done in his role as the Chair for 2011.”

The APLF meets next in March 2012 at the Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s national office.
