Joint NZHPA / SHPA Conference 2006

This will be a combined conference with the New Zealand HealthCare Pharmacists’ Association and the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia Victoria Branch Conference. The NZHPA Executive is looking to find innovative ways to help fund members to attend the conference. It will be held in association with the 5th Biennial SHPA Clinical Conference.

The conference will commence around mid-day on the Thursday and finish with the conference dinner on the Saturday night. The programme is shaping up well with topics such as immunology and transplantation, thromboembolic diseases, obesity and the metabolic syndrome and infectious diseases in the mix of plenary and concurrent sessions. A technicians programme has also been developed to run in conjunction with the main programme. A call for abstracts can be expected soon with an emphasis on clinical research or case report presentations.
