Illegal drugs seized during raid

GEORGE TOWN: Fifteen types of unregistered and unlicensed medicines worth RM250,000, including sex stimulants, were seized following a one-day joint operation by the Health Ministry and the state Health Department.

The ministry’s pharmaceutical enforcement division’s deputy director, Wan Hamid Wan Ibrahim, led a team of 40 officers during the operation which was carried out at 10 pharmacies and traditional medicine halls here, in Balik Pulau, Bukit Mertajam, Bukit Jambul and Sungai Dua.
