The Pharmacy Guild of Australia encourages all Guild member pharmacies to access a ScriptMAP report during August 2014, declaring August the ‘month of mapping’.

ScriptMAP is a business tool developed by The Pharmacy Guild of Australia and provides Guild members with detailed information on the PBS Reforms and pricing, and a customised analysis of the effects of these reforms on a member pharmacy.

The report accesses the best available information and is based on your own dispensing mix sourced from your dispensary software. It provides the clearest available picture of the impact of the changes that will occur to PBS pricing and pharmacy remuneration.

“ScriptMAP is a personalised report unique for your own dispensary mix,” said Guild National President George Tambassis. “It is especially critical now, so that Guild pharmacies understand the impact of simplified price disclosure from 1 October.”

The Guild has previously advised that the average pharmacy may expect a hit of $90,000 to their bottom line in 2014-15; a ScriptMAP report will tell you the exact impact on your pharmacy. For some pharmacies the impact may be more.

The Group Executive responsible for the Guild’s Pharmacy Transformation Group, Andrew Matthews, said: “There is no other tool that really demonstrates the economic imperative as to why pharmacies need to transform their business model. ScriptMAP is just one of 14 targeted pharmacy transformation initiatives that the Guild is developing to assist member pharmacies to transform and maintain ongoing viability. A pharmacy’s transformation journey must start with ScriptMAP.”

During August’s ‘Month of Mapping’ the Guild is offering members access to ScriptMAP for the special price of $49, compared to the usual price of $99. ScriptMAP is only available to Guild members at this price.
