The national Australian Pharmacy Professional (APP) 2005 Conference and Trade Exhibition will be held from 3 – 6 March at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach, Queensland. With a move to the new multi-million dollar Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, APP2005 is set to raise the bar as the conference setting the agenda for the pharmacy industry. Sessions at the conference are set to tackle the plethora of important issues surrounding the historic Fourth Guild Government Agreement including the role of pharmacy as a business unit, the PBS and generic medicines, remuneration for professional services and the support of rural pharmacy. Other sessions will include a huge range of topics aimed at assisting pharmacists improve every aspect of their pharmacy from adapting to consumer behaviour, to the adoption of HMR services, to analysing franchisee models. The trade exhibition will be the biggest in APP history, with more than 120 professional and ethical companies exhibiting their products and services. Admission to the trade exhibition is free to any individual from the pharmacy industry.
