Flat rate system of the patient’s co-payment to the small amount medical fees

In general, patients should pay 30% of the total medical fee in pharmacy and clinic, 40% in hospital, 50% in general hospital as co payment but government regulated the law with exception that people pay only 1,500 won for the small fee less than 10,000 won in pharmacy and 3,000 won for the small fee less than 15,000 won in clinic so as to lead doctors to cure simple illness with small amount of money.

This exception clause will be lifted as of August, 2007
