PSS collaborated with Consumer Association of Singapore (CASE) to conduct and

publish a survey on retail prices of commonly used drugs for 3 major chronic

diseases, ie. diabetes, hypertension and hypercholesterolaemia.

This was done with the objectives of empowering patients to learn more about the

disease conditions, the various drugs available and the option for patients and their

family to choose generic alternatives.

Through such collaboration, we hope to heighten awareness among Singaporeans to

be more aware of their rights as consumers and educate them to request for bill

itemization and transparency for price comparison. Patients are healthcare

consumers and they should exercise their rights like any other consumers also.
