Pharmacy Practice in Government

The large volume of reviews, reforms and new policy directions in primary health care, preventive health, hospitals and the Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreement are having significant and multiple impacts on the work of pharmacists in State and Commonwealth government.

To support the increasing number of pharmacists working in these areas, PAC11 will again hold a special pre-congress meeting titled Pharmacy Practice in Government.

This unique forum provides the opportunity for participants to meet and discuss issues of common interest and establish support networks to face the challenges ahead.

Following on from a very successful and well received meeting last year, this year’s meeting will focus on government pharmacists’ professional obligations, unique skill sets and educational gaps.
