Call for nominations Host Madsen Medal 2013 and FIP Award Winners 2012

The Høst-Madsen Award is the highest Scientific Award of FIP. It is given every second year in the memory of Dr Høst-Madsen, who for many years was a very eminent President of FIP.  

The Award is sponsored by the Danmarks Apotekerforening.

A candidate for this Award is an eminent pharmaceutical scientist, who has particularly distinguished himself or herself by his or her research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The Høst-Madsen Medallist will be selected by the Høst-Madsen Award Committee. The proposal of the Award Committee has to be approved by the Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences of FIP at its meeting on 2 and 3 February 2013 in The Hague, The Netherlands. The Awardee will receive the Høst-Madsen Medal at the FIP World Congress 2013 in Dublin, Ireland.

Any member of FIP (Member Organisations and Individual Members) may nominate any other Scientist in the Pharmaceutical Sciences for this Award. Nominations must be made in writing to the Chair of the Award Committee. I would like to ask you to nominate candidates and send your nominations before 1 January 2013 to Ms Paula Cohen, FIP Secretary, at [email protected], who will then forward them to the Chair of the Høst-Madsen Award Committee.

Your nomination should contain:
–     a CV of the candidate (no more than 2 A4 pages)
–     a list of key publications and
–     a letter of recommendation about the major achievements and contributions of the candidate to the Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
