Who We Are

The Western Pacific Pharmaceutical Forum (WPPF) is the regional Forum affiliated with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) based on World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Western Pacific Region. The Region includes 37 countries that are home to approximately one-fourth of the world’s population. It stretches from China in the north and west, to New Zealand in the south, and French Polynesia in the east.

The WPPF bring together national pharmacy associations of the Region, WHO and FIP in a regional platform aimed at increasing partnership, dialogue, understanding and activity in relation to pharmacists practice. The goal is to enable the pharmacy profession to have a greater impact on improving pharmacy services and health.

The Western Pacific Region is very diverse and includes some of the world’s least developed and isolated countries as well as the most rapidly emerging economies. It includes highly developed countries such as Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Singapore and fast growing economies such as China and Vietnam.
